About CostToRun.uk
CostToRun.uk is a small, independent tool that answers one question well: how much does it cost to run this appliance? We combine an appliance's typical power with the latest UK electricity price cap so you get a clear, current figure — and we let you adjust everything to match your own home.
Why we built it
Most running-cost calculators show a single generic figure and an electricity price that quietly goes out of date. We take a different approach: one authoritative price (the Ofgem cap) drives the whole site, every appliance shows a realistic range rather than false precision, and every page shows when the price was last updated.
